BayCare is currently in search of our newest Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator to join the Chemistry laboratory team at St. Joseph's Main Hospital.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinating and leading the daily operations of the laboratory including scheduling and supervisory duties as required

• Uses independent judgement to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction Prioritizes, delegates, and oversees all phases of the laboratory process

• Ensures all established processes, policies, and procedures for the laboratory are followed to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results are reported

• Oversees the quality assurance and quality management programs and ensures they are followed

• Follows up as appropriate with any deviations in the process

• Ensures ongoing laboratory compliance with all appropriate regulatory organizations and all facility and system wide requirements including monitoring proficiency testing

• Responsible for laboratory education and training of all team members, including orientation, acting as trainer, ensuring competency documentation, and being a resource and mentor

• Assists with gathering and monitoring data to achieve laboratory goals

• Works independently and in a team

• Utilize delegation, preceptor, and management skills

• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills

• Have knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position

• Administrative and clerical skills

• Computer skills appropriate to position

• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure :

• Required – State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

Education :

• Required – Bachelor's in Biological Science

• Or – Bachelor’s (Clinical Science Related)

Experience :

• Required – 4 years Clinical laboratory

Facility: BayCare Health System, Lab Administration-HSS

Location: St Joseph's Main and Childrens

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Weekend Work: Occasional
