Navistar, Inc. Production Maintenance Manager in Springfield, Ohio

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Production Maintenance Manager to join our team!

The successfully candidate will be responsible for the Production Maintenance Organization of our General Assembly facility in a large truck manufacturing plant. The successful individual will be a part of the larger campus maintenance organization with four other peers reporting to the Associate Director of Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Will have a team that includes traditional UAW Skilled trades that consist of Electrician, Millwright, Machine Repair, Toolmaker, Tinsmith, HVAC, Plumber, and Painter.

  • Responsible for the reactive elements of production support but will also have to manage a PM program and reliability program.

  • Manage activities in the machine shop, in the fabrication shop, and provide and manage the labor for the facilities team for items not outsourced as well.

  • Responsible for using lean methodologies, understanding and adhering to our companies operating system; this will include capacity planning, continuous improvement, layered audits, and a business plan board that reports out of the team metrics.

  • The goal is to make the Springfield Assembly Plant’s maintenance team a center of excellence for the entire company.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 8 years of production maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

OR

  • Master's degree

  • At least 6 years of production Maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of production maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
