Position Profile:

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, data analysis, providing reliable financial insights and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a strong aptitude for numbers and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles as well as a keen knowledge of financial analysis.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

Financial Analyst:

  • Prepares detailed monthly financial reports to management.
  • Oversees real time financial performance for accuracy, reclassifications, and omissions.
  • Create solutions and propose fresh ideas for various business challenges.
  • Formulate a plan for efficiency in financial entry and reporting.
  • Provide additional insight on financial data.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Maintain working relationships with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Analyze financial data to identify variances to prior year expenses and budget.
  • Process various accounting documents including payables, sales tax, and reconciliations.
  • Assist financial team with analyzing various departments managerial accounting measures.

Teamwork and Collaboration:Actively engages in production and team meetings and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across work team.Understands available resources and utilizes those resources when appropriate.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business, or more than five years of experience as a Financial Analyst, or a combination of educations and experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborates well with coworkers.
  • Strong background in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Ability to research effectively.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, or fingers.
