CVS Health Executive Director of PBM Rebates, Pricing & Client Reporting Technology in Springfield, Illinois

Position SummaryThe executive director, Technology PBM Rebates, Client Reporting, & Pricing leads the organization that develops and operates the systems and processes for PBM rebate operations, pricing operations and client reporting products for CVS Health. This leader collaborates with the business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to align the technology solutions with the strategic goals and objectives. Rebates is undergoing a significant transformation to reimagine the end-to-end process of the rebate ecosystem. This is inclusive of technology, process, and product re-invention. The rebates transformation and client reporting make up a large portion of the Financial Value Pool investment and a significant portion of the Top strategic programs for the PBM. The rebate system process over 6 billion dollars in invoices and payments monthly for the PBM. The executive director, Technology PBM Rebates, Client Reporting, & Pricing leads the organization that develops and operates the systems and processes for PBM rebate operations, pricing operations and client reporting products for CVS Health. This leader collaborates with the business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to align the technology solutions with the strategic goals and objectives. Rebates is undergoing a significant transformation to reimagine the end-to-end process of the rebate ecosystem. This is inclusive of technology, process, and product re-invention. The rebates transformation and client reporting make up a large portion of the Financial Value Pool investment and a significant portion of the Top strategic programs for the PBM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, direction, and guidance to the technology organization for the rebates, pricing, and client reporting teams, optimizing, and aligning the IT resources, capabilities, and processes with the business needs and expectations.

  • Collaborate across technology and business to lead the product transformation.

  • Manage the delivery of the IT initiatives, ensuring the quality, design, timeliness, and budget adherence, and meeting the key OKRs and KPIs.

  • Manage the IT budget, resources, and vendors delivering the IT projects and services in alignment with OKRs

  • Collaborate with the Value Pool leader and product stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Provide strategic guidance and support for the IT solutions.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with the business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, meeting the business requirements and expectations, and resolving any issues or escalations.

  • Ensure the compliance of the systems and applications with the company policies, standards, and regulations, and identify, assess, and mitigate risks and controls.

  • Drive the innovation and continuous improvement solutions, leveraging best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

  • Develop and mentor the team fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, agility, and innovation, and enhancing their skills and competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ Years of leadership experience in matrixed organization spanning technical, leadership and application development

  • 10+ years of leading fullstack engineering teams or similar experience

  • 10 + years of defining and leading the execution of the long-term technology strategy management and delivery

  • 10 + years of managing a large and diverse team to deliver business value through technology and world class support

  • 5 + years of Fiscal Management of capital and operating expense budgets

  • 10+ years of partnering across the organization and lead enterprise initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT vendor management, and IT service management methodologies and frameworks.

  • Demonstrated leadership through transformation initiatives

  • Proven experience in a product led transformation and mature operations.

  • Strong people leadership capabilities with a strong ability to build a high performing team through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring, and other techniques.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$175,100.00 - $334,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
