HP Inc. Houston Site Council Engagement Intern in Spring, Texas

Responsibilities:

This internship role will focus on supporting the Houston Site Council. What does a council do within a corporation? The role of our council is to bring the HP way to life and strengthen the employee experience. This position will serve as a liaison between the council, local business resource groups, employees, and leadership.

Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Work hand in hand with conference services to manage and execute 500+ person events and high-level executive meetings sitewide.

  • Meet with council finance leads to ensure all council-sponsored events meet annual/quarterly budget targets.

  • Collaborate with council lead and corporate entities to create rolling employee communications, digital, social media, and public relations content.

  • Lead and manage council committee meetings. Manage all notes and ensure action items are documented, published regularly, and completed.

  • Create and coordinate the overall calendar of events for the Houston site, with the objective of creating synergy among groups and consistent engagement.

  • Accountable for inventory management of all council items and events/logistics support.

This position will report to the Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREWS) Americas Operations Director and receive direct supervision and guidance from the Houston Site Council and Site Operations lead. It will operate year-round as a part-time internship (approximately 20 hours per week) with the ability to go full-time during summer breaks (40 hours per week).

Education and Experience Required:

  • 3rd or 4th-year students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a non-technical field, Business, Communications, Human Resources, or related.

  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in Project Management, such as event planning & support, calendar management, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Experience in creating, planning, and executing events for 500+ attendees (events to include executive level support) a strong plus.

  • Strong desire to pursue a career a technology industry long-term.
