T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineers, Radio Frequency located in Spokane, WA will perform engineering design and system performance of the LTE and 5G Radio Network.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- * *apply engineering principles to design and optimize network coverage, performance, and capacity;
- lead a team of engineers on specific projects and mentor Associate Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers for technical growth;
- Support Engineering and technical staff and provide input to management on tactical and strategic issues
- serve as a technical subject matter expert and may be required to do in depth analysis of new features and technologies;
- perform advanced monitoring of radio network Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and serve as subject matter expert in order to improve network performance;
- participate in the development of inter and intra team processes for system performance and radio network design;
- collect, process and review drive test data; Also assist with determining cause of faulty equipment
- work with the operations team to troubleshoot site network problems;
- participate with federal, state and local jurisdictions to ensure regulatory and zoning compliance;
- provide engineering support to Sales / Customers by responding to customer and employee network related complaints;
* Specific Skills Requirement* - must have educational or professional experience in:
- Experience (1) Experience with LTE/5G technology optimization using Element Manger/OSS, Onedata, Axiom, EGIS, IMNOS, Falcon or comparable KPI monitoring and parameter implementation tools to improve the wireless network performance.
- Experience (2) Experience with resolution of customer complaints of voice and data issues through network tracing tools including TrueCall or comparable tools.
- Experience (3) Experience analyzing field measurement data through automation tools including Actix, Windcatcher, or comparable tools.
- Experience (4) Experience with Cell Site Design using RFDS, iCSNE or comparable design creation and planning tools to integrate new towers and technology in the existing network without impacting the customer experience.
- Experience (5) Experience predicting network coverage using radio frequency design tools including Asset, Atoll, or comparable tools.
- Experience (6) Experience with LTE/5G network capacity and growth analysis to support future customers using KPI monitoring tools including PRTS or comparable tools.
Experience and education requirements:
* *PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related, and one year of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related, and three years of relevant work experience.
