Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for a Directional Drill Locator to join our team and help connect America. The Directional Drill Locator, under the direction of a company supervisor, performs work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas. Our Drill Locators safely and effectively operate locator equipment used during the directional drilling process.

What you’ll do…

  • Accurately locate directional drill heads and provide precise direction to drill operator

  • Properly mark discovered utilities, completing any necessary paperwork and photographing each locate

  • Correctly, safely and efficiently locate the infrastructure placed by Company operations

  • Hand dig using shovel and/or mechanical tools

  • Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery in congested and/or remote settings

  • Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement

  • Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor

  • Flagging, property or worksite restoration as needed

  • Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

  • Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • You are authorized to work in the United States for this company

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License

  • You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company

  • You are proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment (shovels, screw drivers, wrenches, and ped keys etc.)

  • You are able to maintain a safe work environment

  • You are able to work in all weather conditions Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by the company as required.

  • Upon employment, will be subject to random drug testing in compliance with federal, state and company guidelines.
