Summary About the position: This position is located at the Eifel Mountain Golf Course, Spangdahlem AB, Germany. This position is Monday - Sunday, days and nights; weekends and holidays. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of simple cooking tasks.The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a full range of cooking tasks: preparing and cooking items that required little/no processing, prepares hot cereals, broils meats, cooks soups, sauces and gravies, makes cold sandwich filling. Prepares other items such as: frozen hash browns, fish fillets and chicken nuggets. Prepares food by chopping, peeling, paring, grinding, slicing, dicing, pureeing and breading; weights and measures ingredients and portions food as appropriate. May be required to operate a cash register and collect money, make change and serve bottled/canned beer. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must have knowledge of cleaning and operating food service equipment. Must have experience in seasoning food and cooking to completion. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
