Are you a self-starting and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk? This is a long-term contract Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Souderton, Pennsylvania area. Robert Half is partnering with a growing Manufacturing company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties will be to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer accounts receivable issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger. A strong candidate for this job will be looking for career growth potential, and be capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.

Responsibilities

• Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

• Confirm documents and codes

• Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

• Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

• Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

• Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

• Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

  Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Associate or bachelor's degree or related field preferred

• ERP system experience

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Billing experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
