Robert Half HR Generalist Training and Development in Somerset, New Jersey

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist based in Somerset, New Jersey. This role primarily focuses on Training and Development and requires a hands-on approach, willingness to perform a variety of tasks, and the capacity to travel to other locations as needed. The HR Generalist will play a critical role in developing and implementing company-wide training programs, onboarding, and other HR functions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement company-wide training programs, including hiring, termination, and discipline training.

• Provide managerial training on various processes.

• Act as a true generalist in the office, focusing on training and development.

• Travel to other locations to learn different positions and create development tasks.

• Research and develop internal processes to see if positions can develop into managerial roles or career development opportunities.

• Handle onboarding processes as needed.

• Connect and engage with employees on all levels.

• Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state laws.

• Maintain confidentiality in all HR-related matters.

• Utilize HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems and Paylocity for various HR functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in using Paylocity and other HRIS (Human Resources Info Systems)

  • Experience in recruiting and interviewing processes.

  • Knowledge and experience handling terminations in compliance with state and federal laws.

  • Experience in managing compensation and benefits programs.

  • Understanding of federal and state laws related to employment and HR practices.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the construction/contractor industry.

  • Experience in handling payroll functions.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
