Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Soledad, California. Working within a fast-paced industry, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month-end closing. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable process and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize invoices according to payment terms, ensuring timely completion of payments

• Maintain accurate records, including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

• Analyze expenses and record entries for accurate financial reporting

• Obtain invoice approvals from managers/supervisors and resolve any purchase order and invoice discrepancies

• Schedule weekly check runs to pay vendors and process checks upon request

• E-file documents to keep records of all invoices and handle the maintenance and preparation of necessary forms

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements

• Assist with audits and special projects as needed

• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel to perform duties effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices.

• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management software.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
