Job Details PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIST DUTIES: Physician shall provide on-call emergent and urgent care to patients who present to the Hospital's Emergency Department or are otherwise referred to the Psychiatric Department for evaluation or treatment, in addition to providing follow up care to the designated or assigned inpatient psychiatric population Physician shall provide follow-up care to the Hospital's inpatient population in the psychiatric unit. Such services shall include, but are not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, medication management and performance of procedures Physician shall be responsible for preparing all records and reports which may be required concerning any psychiatric patient's treatment program and complete all forms and documents as may be required by Hospital Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned, from time-to-time by the Chairman, Director of Psychiatry, and/or the CMO. Weekend and holiday on-call service will require Physician to be present at Hospital during the day hours to address admissions, consultations and rounding on approximately half of the total patients in the psychiatric units and other locations where psychiatric patients may be accommodated. PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIST QUALIFICATIONS: Medical degree in Psychiatry required Board Certified or eligible physician and must have completed a board-approved training program in their specialty or sub-specialty Must hold a currently valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of New York and current registration with the New York State Education Department Must have three years’ experience treating patients Salary Range USD $247,000.00 - USD $330,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
