    Job Summary

    The position of Supply Chain Equipment and Services Administrator is responsible for the management and facilitation of equipment acquisition and related activities. This position acts as the primary agent in the facilitation of the equipment procurement process including, but not limited to, market research, cost and price analysis, and contract management for compliance on purchases. This position works with the sourcing administrators, finance, and operational end users to negotiate the final quote on any type of equipment acquisition to include lease evaluations, placement options or capital purchases. They coordinate the purchase of third-party equipment maintenance services, supplies, and equipment, in conjunction with Biomedical Engineering.

    The primary goal of this position is to accurately and effectively plan, procure, place and track equipment and services. The position needs to ensure products, services and equipment are purchased and provided at the right price, quantity, quality, and time as well as delivered to the right place.

    The position will coordinate the activities and purchases with the Strategic Sourcing, Construction Management, Financial Reporting and Biomedical Engineering departments to ensure the appropriate adherence to Avera standard vendors, purchasing options, and equipment.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, project management, construction, acquisition, or capital negotiations, preferably in a healthcare setting or working with a healthcare organization required.

  • Prior experience with market analysis/research, capital negotiation, sourcing, healthcare sales, and a broad understanding of third-party maintenance services and/or sales experience preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.

    Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
