Cargill Strategy & Portfolio Manager, Cocoa & Chocolate in Singapore, Singapore

Job Purpose and Impact

The Strategy & Portfolio Manager, Cocoa & Chocolate, will be responsible for the commercial strategy for Cocoa, understanding APAC customer needs on cocoa products (butter, liquor and powder) and translating them into value propositions which drive growth in the region. In this role, you will work with product line management teams in other regions, research & development, sales and marketing to map and drive the commercial implementation of the strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create multi-year roadmaps by region/segment/customer in alignment with the global Product Line Architecture, translate into compelling value propositions and maintain a relevant innovation pipeline. 

  • Develop a product portfolio that maximizes value and accelerated growth for the business and act as the key contact for cross functional stakeholders.

  • Engage with Sales, Marketing and PLM teams to develop a credible implementation plan for the commercial strategy.

  • Lead anual review and updates.

  • Provide effective communication of the cocoa commercial strategy, growth objectives, sales initiatives, sales results and changes in the competitive landscape to the team and across businesses routinely.

  • Provide commercial input into innovation/investment projects and be responsible for the overall cocoa portfolio.

  • Partner with the sales team to build a strong opportunities pipeline and be the commercial resource in the commercialization process to make recommendations on advancing new projects based on the business case.

  • Partner with research and development, supply chain and operations to ensure a high success rate of commercialization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cocoa, Chocolate and/or Oils related experience preferred

  • Stakeholder management across cross-functional teams

  • Strategic with practical commercial savviness.

  • Experience in collaborating

  • Comfortable with leading annual review and updates.
