Cargill Strategic Pricing Analyst Chocolate in Singapore, Singapore

Job Purpose and Impact

Note: Role allows rotation between Tuas and Telok Ayer office.

The Strategic Pricing Analyst Chocolate will support the development, implementation, execution and continuous monitoring and review of Strategic Pricing activities in the Asia-Pacific region. The Strategic Pricing Analyst works closely with the margin manager to ensure product and service profitability. In addition to sound analytical and deduction skills, he/she should have strong communication and relationship building skills to collaborate across numerous functions including: sales, customer service, trading, logistics and finance. The ideal candidate would need to be organized and be able to migrate efficiently through complex systems and data (eg. JDE, Tableau, Power BI etc).

Key Accountabilities

  • Supports Margin Manager in profit maximisation and capacity management work by managing stakeholders in Sales, Operations and Supply Chain.

  • Analyze competitors, customers’ information and trends to identify potential threats and opportunities and collaborate with cross functional teams of commercial, finance and operations to deliver insights, strategies and decisions.

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of the designated markets, pricing and product strategies and perform research to determine competitive price positioning, willingness to pay and feature function comparison.

  • Maintains accurate pricing data in order management for Revenue and profitability forecast

  • Perform ongoing analysis and running of pricing model as well as analyze profitability and profitability leakage

  • Synthesize moderately complex data from multiple sources and transform it into insights, analysis and reports to support decisions required for the company to maintain a competitive position in the market

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics or statistics or equivalent with minimum 3 years related work experience

  • Experience in Cocoa / Chocolate preferred

  • Strong business acumen

  • Advanced spreadsheet and presentation skills using related applications
