Johnson & Johnson Worldwide Government Affairs & Policy (WWGA&P) is recruiting for a Senior Director, APAC Government Affairs Supply Chain, Technical Operation and Risk (SCOR) to advocate on behalf of Johnson & Johnson.

You will join a team of supply chain, technical operations and risk focused government affairs professionals who support the business around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Formulate and execute global advocacy and intervention strategies on behalf of our supply chain, technical operations, and risk organization(s) priorities and objectives to continue to ensure they are a competitive advantage of J&J’s and a growth enabler

  • Drive needed infrastructure investment, energy security and industrial initiatives in support of make/deliver functions.

  • Serve as functional lead/coordinator on clean sheeted projects in region

  • Be able to quickly intervene and engage government stakeholders to address supply chain disruptions.

  • Promote and coordinate actions with government partners and ensure country to country free flow of products, fast track policies.

  • Promote policies for effective supply chain resiliency such as diverse footprint, adaptation and quick recovery while accelerating digital optimization. Shape policies that are calling for strategic autonomy, mapping, stockpiling, transparency, regulatory oversight, reporting, reshoring/friend shoring, regionalization, and logistic investments.

  • Build and maintain a strong, ongoing network and coalition with complex governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to align interests and advance Johnson & Johnson SCOR objectives in key areas including advocating and advancing priority initiatives that address supply chain agility, innovation, resiliency, transparency, workforce development, and support of manufacturing and operations in APAC region.

  • Gathering, analyzing and sharing geopolitical analysis in support of business objectives and long-term resiliency.

  • Participate in internal/external events and actively engaging on driving key issues.

  • Identifying opportunities and supporting executive engagement and participation in task forces and meetings.

  • Building strategic relationships that position J&J as a key trusted advisor to government officials and trade/think tank organizations.

  • Helping WWGA&P implement long-term strategic plans and address emerging developing issues and forecasting risks that could impact SCOR operations and agility.

  • Establishing and maintaining communications with executive, legislative, and regulatory agencies.

  • Holding a thorough understanding of the geopolitical landscape and legislative/regulatory environment

  • Ensure J&J is positioned as thought leader and demonstrates strong leadership in regional and market level industry associations

  • Represent GA&P on the APAC regional supply chain council and other senior LTs that require strategic GA&P collaboration and input

  • Adhering to J&J’s health care compliance requirements and all applicable government lobbying laws

Qualifications

  • Government Affairs Experience: 10 years of government affairs experience. A sophisticated knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and political environment across APAC. Ability to engage and develop relationships with government stakeholders.

  • Relevant Industry Experience: Experience understanding and influencing policy matters across APAC Experience in the MedTech and pharmaceutical industries required.

  • Business Orientation and Impact: A demonstrated ability to understand business goals and work collaboratively with business leaders to support and advance those goals. A track record of effectively engaging with business executives, policy-makers, multi-lateral organizations, and other internal and external constituencies to deliver meaningful, commercially-driven policy outcomes.

  • Drive, Agility and Collaboration: Results-oriented, self-motivated leader who enjoys a challenging, fast-paced environment; who can drive complex projects and provide strategic direction; who has the desire and willingness to always continue evolving best practices; who is highly organized and adaptable, and can independently prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines; who can think creatively when the situation is fluid, and the solution unclear; and who brings a collaborative, team-oriented approach to their work

  • Executive Presence & Communication: Strong presentation style with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly earn the trust and engender confidence with key internal and external stakeholders
