Cargill Raw Material & Sampling Associate in Singapore, Singapore
Job Purpose and Impact
The Raw Material and Sampling Associate will need to have a deep understanding and keep abreast knowledge of raw material uses/functions and impact in chocolate recipes. The role will assist in the raw material evaluations to qualify as an ingredient to be used in recipes, maintain data on raw materials, nutritional info, its properties, uses and as backup/alternative ingredient. Will work closely with procurement to develop raw material evaluation pipeline, advises PPD team on raw material usage in order to meet customer needs. Develop strategic relationship with suppliers to drive innovation. This role will also support PPD team by assisting with sampling and sample related procedures and duties.
Key Accountabilities
Understand and develop an approach to evaluate raw material portfolio of our suppliers
Release of raw material evaluation report and liaising with suppliers on the non-conformances and for improvements
Develop relationship with preferred suppliers for strategic partnerships in innovation
Analyse results and build knowledge transfer to PPD team
Develop the knowledge and understanding of our Quality teams on the specs and requirements of a raw material (including tasting, testing and validation-approval method )beyond the standard Food Safety and requirements
As project member of customer projects (lead by PPD specialist) responsible for giving advice regarding suitable raw materials to meet customer needs
Responsible to address inquiries of labelling team with regards to customer request on labels and declaration
Prepare products for informal and formal sensory panels
Prepare existing samples for shipment to customers or employees
Prepare samples for product exhibitions and expo
Understand and comply with safety regulations and other compliance regulations
Document control and updating to ensure relevant documents are complete and up to date
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
Minimum of four years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with email, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications
Ability to work efficiently individually and in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively to various levels in the organization
Prior experience in food industry related work
