Amazon Program Manager, HR APJ, AWS HR in Singapore, Singapore

As Project Manager for AWS HR, you’ll be responsible for owning and managing the HR scope in AWS-specific HR initiatives and big bets, mechanisms, cadences, data metrics & analytics, documents (business reviews, organization review documents, minutes, etc.), budget and headcount request, process improvement programs and projects, and overall HR Leadership Team project and program support. This role has direct partnership with AWS HRBP organization and COEs, but also partners extremely closely with the AWS business and Amazon’s central HR. Specific initiatives this year will including building and executing AWS’s region growth expansion, developing cultural assimilation strategies and developing an operational support model to reduce burden on line Human Resources. In addition, this individual will establish reporting dashboard and metrics to measure the success of the programs and track performance. They will also be able to work on ad hoc HR Projects that will come up on an as needed basis.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Singapore, SGP

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 8+ years of experience in APJ markets

  • Experience across multiple areas of HR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization

  • Exceptional project and program management skills; keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines; can teach and coach these skills in others but also acts as a productive hands-on PM

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • System thinking and strong analytical skills; can not only work with data but can identity root causes, recognize patterns, and solve problems

  • Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities

  • Experience identifying and resolving issues independently, will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances

  • Strong consulting, facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders in a global, highly-matrixed environment

  • Experience in a high growth business environment with the practical application of leadership development, learning, and talent development.

  • Experience leading organizational design efforts

  • Savvy with technology; curious and knowledgeable about technology, and puts technology to work for them to more efficiently manage programs and projects
