Cargill Product and Process Development Associate in Singapore, Singapore

Job Purpose and Impact

The Product and Process Development Associate will be part of the chocolates and compounds R&D team and will be mainly involved in pilot plant and PPD activities. In this role, you will be managing the pilot plant operators’ monthly roster, supporting pilot plant troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects. You will also be assisting Senior PPD Specialist on new product development projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Planning of pilot plant operators work shift schedule monthly.

  • Support on the pilot plant troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.

  • Conduct daily IDEX meeting.

  • Conduct monthly stock take of the inventory, upload the adjusted quantity to Microsoft AX system.

  • Conduct analytical testing of finished product by utilizing laboratory equipment and various analytical methods.

  • Support product and process development activities, such as prototype development and product application etc.

  • Understand and comply with safety regulations and other procedural compliance regulations.

  • Maintain inventory management for laboratory consumables and cleanliness of lab areas and equipment.

  • Interpret and document results of all tests and internally communicates results verbally or in writing as required.

  • Prepare and dispatch customer requested samples.

  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with email, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications

  • Ability to work efficiently individually and in a team environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively to various levels in the organization

  • Prior experience in food industry related work
