Job Summary

The role provides technical finance expertise and guidance on Treasury matters and well-developed recommendations to make business decisions. Activities include, but are not limited to, cash management, subsidiary funding, foreign exchange risk management, business risk management, trade finance, and developing funding structures. This role reports to Regional Treasury Centre Manager and will be working the finance teams of the Caterpillar entities in Asia Pacific. Incumbent will have comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar’s business and finance policies and practices, systems, processes and procedures. You will apply finance knowledge to activities and will participate in and/or lead multifunctional teams as well as lead projects to conclusion by compiling information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing solutions and will provide information and analysis used to make and/or influence business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Perform daily Treasury operational work such as cash management, bank account management, funding, forecasting, General Ledger posting and foreign exchange trading.

  • Support Asia Pacific legal entities and business units and to be a trusted adviser to the process partners on Treasury functionalities.

  • Participate in global, regional and local projects.

  • Leverage / deploy Treasury systems and technology to simplify / standardize processes and improve efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX controls, KYC requirements and policies as well as relevant country regulations.

  • The Finance Analyst in regional treasury center demonstrates very good communication skills and has a comprehensive knowledge of the legal entities and business units.

  • Moderate travel required (5% of working time)

What You Have

  • A university degree in finance, business administration or accounting is required.

  • Knowledge of Corporate Treasury policies, practices and systems.

  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, judgment and decision-making skills.

• Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.

Financial Analysis : Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

• Interprets major types of financial statements issued by the organization.

• Utilizes basic qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques with proficiency.

• Knowledge of other business functions and analytical skills.

Relationship Management : Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Have the ability to work effectively and independently with people at all levels within and outside the department.

• Team player, have the ability to learn, adapt quickly to a variety of work environments & circumstances.
