A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Simpsonville, SC area. This role involves leading new programs through production, ensuring compliance with specifications, improving manufacturing processes, and maintaining safety, with a focus on Lean principles and required engineering experience.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Lead new programs/products through production to ensure compliance with cost, delivery, and customer/internal specifications.

• Coordinate efforts with design and quality engineering.

• Identify necessary tools, equipment, and fixtures for product manufacturing.

• Work with operations team to drive efficiency and innovate assembly and manufacturing processes.

• Improve manufacturing and business processes by eliminating waste.

• Ensure and maintain a safe working environment.

• Develop, design, acquire, or create new equipment for improved productivity, efficiency, and safety.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in new product introduction processes.

• Experience of Military/Aerospace procedures, specifications, and regulations.

• Fluent with desktop computers and ability to use Microsoft office with proficiency.

• Ability to read and understand customer/internal documentation, drawings, and work instructions.

• Working knowledge of cable and harness assemblies.

• Familiarity with the use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks systems.

• Experience with document control programs such as SolidWorks PDM.

Education and Experience:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2-3 years of related experience.

• In absence of degree, must have H.S. Diploma with 5 years of experience.
