Description:
- The Perioperative Services Coordinator manages the materials, supplies, equipment, and environment within the unit. This position is also responsible for conducting unit safety rounds and for resolving any safety or aesthetic environmental problems within the unit. This position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital through its focus on improving the experience of the patient.
Responsibilities:
Ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, and assisting with the selection of supplies, equipment and instruments.
Ensure sufficient equipment and supply availability on each unit.
Responsible for maintaining all unit equipment in working condition .
Acts as the primary liaison between supply chain management and Operating Room personnel .
Seeks input from nurse managers, PCS's and SLF's to determine need for supplies and equipment.
Coordinates the evaluation of new equipment and supplies.
Meets regularly with nurse manager and summarizes recommendation for unit resources, along with hospital /vendor relationships.
Works collaboratively with unit staff nurses in determining unit needs.
Works closely with the Materials Management, Maintenance, Purchasing, Engineering, and Environmental Services departments as well as outside vendors and contractors.
Participates in product evaluation, supply cost containment and usage levels to anticipate supply needs throughout perioperative services.

Computer skills – Microsoft Office products
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and fluency in the English language
Visual and auditory acuity
Preferred:
- Degree in Health Care field
Pay Range: $20.70 - $28.99
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
