Plastic Parts Team is one of functional team under QiEP(Quality in External Parts) and belong to Corporate Quality. Its major mission is to secure external manufactory plastic parts to fulfill company unique quality value, The business group is mainly comes from both PG(Product Group) and PE (Play Engineering). The main working platform is external suppliers’ platform. To ensure the energy and cooperate success together through simplicity, coherence and collaboration; To keep decreasing customer claim via more effective and efficient quality function in Development quality, Supplier quality management, and outgoing quality control. To call out, prevent and detect quality risk before parts moving to our customers and consumers. To solve multiple quality issues by professional and systematic problem-solving approach. End orientation point to our partners and VIP customers service. To satisfy our customer always link to our performance management by the way of LCI(LEGO Continuous Improvement). Our team slogan is “Expertize quality matter in external plastic part's development to power up quality core value in depended business chain.” This position newly focus on Tech Project plastic parts development and Global special project with the multi-functional teams. Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluate product structure and design in order to meet safety and functional requirement throughout the whole development process

  • Review the current process to ensure its continuous improvement and drive the multi-functional project to optimize process

  • Initiate Q-Test plan for high complexity element to ensure risk has been identified with DFM when production

  • Conduct production pilot at vendors’ plant, evaluate and qualify manufacturing process

  • Take ownership of learning & developing profession by proactively and continuously improve area of responsibility, seeks improvement in daily work, transform functional knowledge & experience into tangible results

  • Collaborate with global project teammates to ensure deliverable quality in Play Engineering project development.

  • Use data science knowledge and skills as high level tools to verify and validate development performance.

  • Contribute risk findings to project team by professional quality tools (CTQs, FMEA, SPC, CPK, PPAP)

  • Follow on development weak point or challenged point to mass production stability impact

  • Engage in complex production setup in PE projects with global Process Engineer to success production performance target

  • Co-drive development Big Incident, to be resourceful coordinator to connect with global functional team, local project team and supplier team.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven working experience in quality development or design engineering with relevant education background in mechanical/ electronics engineering; prefer electronics industry

  • Knowledge in application of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA is necessarily requested and preferable knowledge in 6Sigma as well

  • Strong Project management skills

  • Data science is requested for performance analysis and risk indication.

  • Mechanical Engineering experience is request and work in electronical industry is preferred
