Program Manager

Purpose:

Lead the cross functional core team through the Product Realization Process milestones. It includes the overall program planning and execution. Establish strong operating mechanisms to track progress, identify issues, overcome obstacles, and define recovery plans. The project manager works with cross-functional leaders (Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Applications Training, and Customer Support) to ensure smooth transition from every stage of the project from concept definition, development, verification/validation, design transfer to operations, and transition to installed base support. Another aspect is providing ongoing status reports to the business leadership team. Works with Quality and Regulatory to ensure the program is fully compliant with the CT Quality System, FDA design controls, and global regulatory agency requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Formulates the (sub) project plan, in consultation with management and other parties concerned on base of the requirements.

  • Organizes the resources to be used (quality, time, allocation, budget and information), helps the team to organize and specifies the quality standard in the processes.

  • Identifies the risks of the project (f.e. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure.

  • Coaches and directs project team members and gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable (where necessary, directs sub-Is responsible and facilitates for implementation and realization and release (if applicable) by the project team according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information) and organization.

  • Represents the (sub)-project team in the overall project to optimize fit for use and overall effectiveness.

  • Gathers and integrates project performance and progress information. Reports on the progress of the project with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and money to senior management and to the project member

  • Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge.

  • Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal

  • Ensures requirements and business case are defined, completed and approved.

  • Builds and maintains the project organization, helps the team to organize, chooses or coaches on the way of working and selects the adequate tools (tailors the approach to the specific project) and defines the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips.

  • Ensures quality deliverable of subsystems delivered, following the quality initiatives.

  • Deploys process improvements, supports continuous improvement of teams and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes and compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures.

  • Manages internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5 years above experience leading M2C mode product development program in large-scale equipment industry, with massive program investment.

  • Clear thinking’s in global organization matrix and program matrix, capability to break down tasks and drive ownership and result

  • Clear thinking’s to integrate sub-sets planning’s, capability to identify entire program critical path and key risks in order to maximize overall program outputs

  • Clearing thinking’s to report management and program stakeholders , with business acumen, and capability to pareto program issues and risks with deep level understanding why and how things happen, capability to propose appropriate countermeasures Other Preferences:

  • Technology education and work background

  • Medical device industry experience, especially X-Ray based diagnose devices

  • Program budgeting and cost control experience

  • Fluent English communication both written and Oral

  • Flexibility working global time zones.
