Lockheed Martin Servo Mechanic B in Shelton, Connecticut

Description: Perform a variety of less involved mechanical operations to assemble, disassemble, and repair various types of servo assemblies and related hydraulic control units.

Follow detailed instructions, prescribed procedures, ordinary drawings, operation sheets, and specifications to perform less involved mechanical operations on servo assemblies and related hydraulic units including motor, sleeve, linkage, bellows, mounting plate, pilot valve, and other related parts and assemblies. Refer to inspection and test reports to pinpoint cause of malfunction, disassemble unit or components, detect malfunction, repair or replace defective parts, re-assemble in correct order and test for proper functioning. Perform less involved layouts and tap, drill, ream, hone, lap, safety wire, solder, hook up electrical connectors, and perform other related duties within confines of job assignment. Use testing and measuring equipment such as servo test panel, hydraulic test equipment, galvanometers, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, etc. Under direction, check out, repair, and assemble, more involved units. Assist higher grade mechanic on complex assignments. Perform other related servo mechanic duties as required. Refer questionable matters to working lead or foreman.

Basic Qualifications:

0-1 years of experience.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Requires ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, orders, instructions and specifications and use precise measuring instruments.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
