As a Senior Manager, Perishable Procurement & Merchandising you will manage the Merchandising team in achieving weekly gross profit goals, and implement sound merchandising vehicles with our independent retailers to drive topline sales. The Senior Manager also manages the merchandising support staff to ensure proper procedures and job responsibilities are being completed successfully.

Job Description

• Full Time, On-Site Role

• Location: 2215 Union Ave., Sheboygan, WI 53081

You will contribute by:

• Meeting and/or exceeding budgeted gross profit goals for respective divisions on a weekly basis to include weekly gross profit production by merchandisers and Marketing/Advertising funding in collaboration with applicable stakeholders.

• Managing and supporting merchandisers experiencing vendor issues, credit requests, paybacks, funding tracking, gross profit generation, and sales driving programs

• Training, coaching, mentoring, and providing clear expectations to team members to achieve revenue goals and drive sales while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth to the team.

• Negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor relationships to generate a steady income stream for division.

• Managing the maximization of bill out and margin controls through alternative sourcing, margin controls, Flat Fees, and forward buys.

• Participating, leading and executing special projects assigned by senior management.

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Experience in Contract Negotiation, Supply Chain & Operations Management

• Understanding of core competencies of wholesale model, ability to manage others, understanding of commodities and how they work

• Ability to negotiate, create, and build/leverage successful relationships with vendors, customers, and internal cross-functional teams.

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong negotiation, organization, prioritization, problem solving skills

• Ability to set and communicate directions to team members.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Retail or Wholesale industry.

• Experience leading teams preferred.
