The role you’ll contribute:

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Residents are spiritual care ministers and members of the healthcare team. The CPE Resident is committed to the hospital’s mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ. The CPE Resident is in an educational program, learning through practice and reflection the art and discipline of spiritual care for patients, patient families, and employees.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Utilize knowledge of the levels of growth, development, and skills for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. care for purposes of clinical spiritual ministry and clinical spiritual leadership learning.

· Engage fully in learning and ministry, maintaining investment in personal learning and growth as well as the art and skill of spiritual care giving

· Provide regular and consistent spiritual care to patients and their families as scheduled

· Work closely with nursing and other care team members to discuss issues of patient care and to provide support during personal and/or spiritual crises.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· College degree in theological studies or related field (i.e.: behavioral sciences, education)
