Philips Senior Cyber Security Analyst in Shanghai, China

Senior Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Group Security organization in China. The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in daily Security Operations Center (SOC) incidents, as well as longer term activities designed to establish a team dedicated to investigating cyber incidents in the China region. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, particularly in the context of China's regulatory environment. This is a key role in further establishing and developing the Group Security incident response capability in Greater China.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations and Incident Response:

  • Monitor and analyse security events and alerts from various sources within the SOC environment.

  • Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber incidents.

  • Develop and refine incident response protocols and procedures.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Establish and lead a specialized team for cyber incident investigation.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Ensure the team stays updated on the latest cyber threats and defence strategies.

Regulatory Compliance and Advisory:

  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity regulations and standards in China.

  • Advise on compliance with Chinese cybersecurity laws and regulations.

  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure organizational adherence to regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate cybersecurity with broader business operations.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels about cybersecurity issues, risks, and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on SOC operations and incident response.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, and vulnerabilities.

  • Experience in leading teams and managing cyber incident investigations.

  • Some experience building and leading a SOC would be an advantage.

  • Excellent proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of China's cybersecurity regulatory environment.

  • Experience working in multinational corporations or cross-cultural teams.

  • Additional certifications relevant to cybersecurity in China.
