PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take lead in developing the site strategy roadmap, formulate and execute plant manufacturing strategies and objectives. Ensure the site strategy is fully aligned with APAC IMSC and MTO business strategies.

• Manage key performance indicators and act to correct those situations which are not in line with established targets, effectively manage the resources (human, material, capital) to meet quality, customer service, financial, EH&S, product and process improvement targets.

• Have executive responsibility for the plant concerning the regulatory requirements, ensure the quality system is regularly reviewed to improve quality results, fulfill all EH&S, cGMP requirements.

• Meet all business plan financial, cash flow, cost improvement projects.

• Accelerate innovation while ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. Advance digital capabilities to seek data driven insights and digital solutions.

• Attract, develop, reward and retain a high performing diverse workforce. Develop robust talent pipeline for manufacturing future leaders.

• Create a compelling work environment in which every employee is valued and recognized for their contribution.

• Connect end-to-end to integrate people, ideas and processes from throughout the supply chain and beyond

• If required, serve as J&J Innovative Medicine China representatives on any internal boards and within the local community on appropriate councils that can influence J&J strategies and credo values.

• Be a key member of the APAC IMSC Leadership Team to partner in shaping and delivering on regional manufacturing strategies

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in manufacturing and operations management, broader exposure in leadership roles in critical functions such as operations, value chain, planning in pharmaceutical industry

• Proven track record of translating broader strategy to achieve results and meet goals, prioritizing projects effectively to deliver on broader business objectives

• Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and lead in matrix organization through influencing and partnering, proven track record in leading cross function teams to achieve business objectives

• Track record of improving operational excellence across an organization with measurable results. Use of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing tools to drive productivity and performance improvement.

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively introduce and manage new manufacturing processes and procedures

• Strong communicator who is credible and self-assured; strong technical skills with the ability to explain complex issues and requirements in an easily understood manner; ability to negotiate with and influence key business leaders.

• Demonstrated ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities, challenge the status quo, foster creativity through experiments and adopt agile approach to drive manufactory innovation

• Exposure to major turn arounds, transformations, or driving change management through an organization

• Demonstrated ability in developing and building diverse, high performing teams with a strong sense of mission

• Able to zoom in and zoom out, quickly shifting between the strategic and the tactical

• Inspirational, bringing energy and enthusiasm to interactions

• Actively invite and listen to diverse perspectives, opinions and perspectives. Create a safe space where different voices are heard and valued.

• Knowledge of cGMP, international quality standards and other regulatory standards

• Bachelors degree or above in pharmacology, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, engineering, or business management.

• Strong written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English
