Senior Control Engineer

Description:

An established company in the energy sector is seeking a Senior Control Engineer. This role involves design and support of process control systems, particularly for refined products and petrochemical pipeline operations. The position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Engineering and technical support for process control systems and instrumentation.

  • Providing guidance for project scope and estimates in process control.

  • Offering support for local operations in regards to process control systems.

Qualifications:

  • A B.S. degree in Engineering is required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in implementing process control and related systems in storage and pipeline sectors (including crude, natural gas liquid, and gas). Candidates with at least 3 years of experience will also be considered.

  • Essential working knowledge of industry standards concerning documentation, loop tuning, safety systems, and PLC configuration.

  • Configuration experience in various HMI and PLC platforms, including proficiency in Wonderware Intouch HMI and Allen Bradley Control Logix PLCs.

  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and climb ladders.

  • Effective communication skills, able to engage with all levels within the organization and with contractors, both verbally and in writing.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and availability for on-call duties 24/7 as required.
