Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern (Seguin, TX)

Responsibilities for an EHS Intern may include one or more of the following:

  • Working with team members to assist in day-to-day activities of the department.

  • Assisting in coordination and preparation of reports, training manuals, and programs.

  • Performing job hazard analysis, machine guarding, or PPE assessments.

  • Program, policy, and/or procedure development, review, and/or implementation to include but limited to:

  • Behavior Based Safety Project – Develop training materials for implementation of a Behavior Based Safety program.

  • Hazcom Program to include Safety Data Sheet review / update.

  • Develop a 5S Program for Overhead Crane rigging.

  • Lockout / Tagout audit of procedures and equipment review / update.

  • Ergonomic Program

  • Fall Protection Program

  • Supporting investigations and data analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate / graduate program or possess a degree from a regionally accredited university.

  • Excellent communication – both verbal and written skills (in English.)

  • Ability to be agile, prioritize, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
