This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Swing Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating activities of Facility by performing the following duties, either personally or through Production Leads.  This position requires understanding of risk assessment and management as it relates to production and safety activities. The Swing Shift Supervisor uses judgment independently and makes difficult decisions (i.e. Layoffs, disciplinary actions, prioritizing multiple projects and, hiring employees.)

The following essential job functions are performed as a Swing Shift Supervisor:

  • Manages processes to ensure that the product is manufactured in accordance with the documented customer requirements and work instructions
  • Manages priorities and work assignments in each cell that are set by Cell managers and Operations Management
  • Coordinates all production activities with Hamilton Ops, Hwy 20 Ops, Project Management and Cell Managers
  • Provides training and assistance to cell leads on handling risk management, employee issues, work order issues, CDI's or any problems or concerns that may arise at night
  • Communicates with shipping receiving both internally and externally to facilitate the loading unloading of parts and supplies
  • Provides risk management of facilities and work force
  • Handles all facility related concerns as they arise and resolves operational, manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Provide CDI inspections as needed
  • Utilizes QCBD and SAP (to monitor attendance; fix clock-ins, etc.)
  • Prints work orders when needed at night
  • Implements standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with JI standards, Safety, 5S, HazMat, AS9100 and NADCAP Standards and Practices
  • Administers JI training courses to the techs for Swing and Graveyard shifts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of your job

QUALIFICATIONS

*MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION. *

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical or College degree preferred
  • At least 4 years in production and personnel management
  • Must have the ability to multitask. Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Must be able to learn the project management software within 3 months
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wage range for this role is between $30 - $40 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation fo
