The Customer Ordered Product engine (COPe) supports Starbucks by quantifying the output of hand-crafted beverage and food offerings to support automated consumption reporting. The analyst role will analyze basket data and base product consumption BOMs to breakdown into user stories for development. Analysts partner with cross functional technical product managers, business stakeholders and developers to understand new products, create business rules to transform original recipes into customized orders and ensure data quality through data validation against multiple sources. The ideal candidate loves data analysis and problem solving with large and complex sets of data.

As a Sr Systems analyst supporting COPe , you will…

· Requirements Definition: You will gather, analyze, and document system requirements into technical requirements, using the scrum methodology and confluence and JIRA as core documentation tools. This will include documenting acceptance criteria, assisting with test execution, and validating test results.

· Leadership & Communication: You will interact directly with business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand business issues and to evaluate ramifications of technical options. You will work to eliminate ambiguity in feature and story acceptance criteria, with a focus on ability to validate data transformations for accuracy and completeness. You will raise issues for visibility and alignment.

· Technical Acumen: You will enjoy researching and learning to solve complex problems and paths through ambiguity by utilizing your e xperience with

o system integrations and understanding of real time APIs and Event Hubs,

o writing user stories where an API is the solution and acceptance criteria/ test cases to validate API accuracy, and

o JSON and XML and a strong ability to dig through data and databases.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
