This Regional Construction Program Manager, will help implement solutions focused on improving processes, streamlining workflows and creating tools used by the field execution teams to deliver capacity more efficiently. The role requires a high level of organization and coordination as new risks and issues emerge, and depends on the use of existing mechanisms or establishing new mechanisms. This role integrates key initiatives across construction and partner teams, identifying and implementing them across the region by tracking action items, developing process changes, and launching new tools. The Regional Construction Program Manager will manage all progress and performance reporting for their region’s key metrics, reports and goals to achieve business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage programs and processes simultaneously.
• Engage with technical experts and key stakeholders to initiate new programs, including developing new processes and program documentation.
• Identify process and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions.
• Develop and maintain lessons learned and establish mechanisms to share this with teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders on key program initiatives to develop and implement procedures and systems that continually improve and streamline the program.
• Drive simplification and automation to evolve processes, services, and solutions, to increase agility and efficiencies and lower costs.
• Establish a metrics-driven, programmatic approach to strategic initiatives to develop improvements and efficiencies.
• Gather, define, refine, and drive requirements for program process, standards, and system Implementation requirements needed to monitor & report on construction programs across multiple geographic regions with little or no direction from management.
• Define & evaluate KPIs derived from program milestone, estimate, spend forecast, and cost/resource loaded schedule performance.
A day in the life
As an AWS Regional Construction Program Manager you will work closely with Construction Managers and stakeholders on key program initiatives to develop and implement procedures and systems that continually improve and streamline the program. You will identify process and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions.
• Work with project team and partner teams within region to develop regional specific improvements to pattern improvement for organization's performance and goals.
• Drive to develop analytical reasoning to understand the performance data for trending misses to KPIs
• Implement effective processes to track work completed by the construction organization end-to-end at a portfolio and level.
• Disseminate region's progress, implemented fix actions and opportunities to executive leadership.
• Drive alignment with partner teams to support regional construction team in reducing construction manager’s level of effort and removing blockers that impact build progress.
• Identify gaps and develop initiatives to drive performance and efficiencies.
• Drive consistency in program adoption at a regional level.
About the team
The Construction Program Management Office (PMO) includes; Regional Program Managers, Construction Coordinators, Program Controls and Onboarding, Training & Development. The team develops and implements solutions focused on improving processes, streamlining workflows and creating tools used by the field execution teams to deliver data center capacity more efficiently.

Basic Qualifications
• 7+ years of project management/ portfolio management/ program management / construction management
• 5+ years of experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
• 5+ experience of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
• Experience with varying stages of infrastructure builds – inclusive of project builds, spanning from Design to Project Hand-off.
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to data center infrastructure build (i.e. construction sequence, commissioning, controls and networking). Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree or advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high value technology infrastructure projects
• 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• Experience in managing data center infrastructure builds
• Experience with and deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies
• Experience of leading matrixed teams and individuals across multiple locations
• Well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
