The AWS Infrastructure group is responsible for procuring, setting up and operating all AWS infrastructure. The AWS Supply Chain Management (SCM) group within AWS Infrastructure is building next generation enterprise supply chain products on AWS from ground up. We are looking for Software Development Engineers who want to work on challenging, high impact problems. The services we own are responsible for billions of dollars in spend, resulting in us having a huge opportunity to move the needle in a positive direction. You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements federated and highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability and latency guarantees. You will use AWS’s cutting edge technologies to build services and customer features rapidly.

To succeed in this role, you must be passionate to deliver high-quality designs, is creative in solving hard problems and always open to think out-of-the-box.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Familiarity building JavaScript/ Frameworks or shared component libraries used in large scale production websites.

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
