Disney Streaming is creating digital video entertainment products for one of the largest media brands in the world, with the mission of providing consumers the ability to access content on any connected device, at any time, in any location. As we continue to use our innovative technology to deliver dynamic direct-to-consumer entertainment for millions of fans across the globe, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platforms who can operate across the enterprise to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of products and features that directly drive our business.

This position is a unique opportunity to build an industry leading technology stack and engineer it "from the metal up".

You will be taking a lead role, interacting with a squad of experienced AWS software engineers, working in an operational support and tool-development mode.

Within this role, you will also provide guidance to our internal Development teams with a particular focus on IAM Security, cross-team sharing and 3rd-party partner integrations.

You'll have to negotiate with these teams on occasion to find workable architectural and operational compromises, but you'll be able to discuss and collaborate with the rest of the Cloud Account Management team, to help to find workable solutions.

Skills and Requirements

* 7+ years experience as a DevOps/SRE

* Terraform + Jenkins (modifying Jenkins pipelines, deploy everything through Jenkins)

* Building monitoring tools and frameworks to ensure systems are up in running and healthy

* Hands-on AWS Security/IAM administration experience, particularly IAM Policies, in support of multiple teams.

* Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, ALB, ECS, ACM, IAM and CloudFormation, plus serverless/hosted solutions such as Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis and DynamoDB.

* Key management security

* Experience with Python-working with Snowflake- SQL and Databricks

* Databricks notebooks to compare data between two data systems-maybe data engineering background?

* Experience solving network connectivity issues (ie: setting up private links through AWS)

* Service Built called quanta (open source)-written in go-relational database for consuming data -used MySQL protocols * Experience with Golang (everything involving dataforwarding is written in go)

o Their open source service called "quanta" is written in go-it's a relationship database for consuming data using My SQL protocols

* Background in data engineering, experience with big data technology such as Hadoop/Hive null
