Amazon Senior Product Manager - Technical, Finance Automation in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Technical Product Manager for Finance Automation Payables Technology team. As a Senior PMT, you will own defining and delivering invoice processing products for Amazon Accounts Payable Finance Operations. In this role, you will collaborate with both technical partners like software engineers, system engineers, principal engineers, technical program managers, cross-org technical stakeholders and non-technical partners like Finance Operations leaders, accounting, and legal teams while defining technology solutions. You have strong experience in defining and managing enterprise level technology products / services. You are able to identify opportunities to develop generic software solutions that caters to diverse range of invoice processing customers. You are a highly self-motivated person, can successfully work in a rapidly changing ambiguous environment and deliver independently. You are extremely customer obsessed, possess strong communication skills and able to influence your stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior PMT, your key responsibilities are:

  • Own and define your product vision and strategy

  • Develop and own your product roadmap. Define and prioritize features by making the right trade-offs, aligning with the stakeholders and incrementally delivering value proposition for your customers

  • Recognize the technical complexities and collaborate with engineering teams in innovating a scalable technology solution that can impact your diverse customers

  • Own product discussions with senior leaders within Amazon including articulating the key value proposition of your products

  • Creating product materials including requirements document, design specifications, process flows, system diagrams, API definitions, user guides and manuals

  • Closely work with UX design team in designing the product features

  • Constantly monitor your product metrics and identify opportunities to improve / drive product adoption

We are responsible for building the systems and services that supports Amazon Finance Operations mission to pay vendors, payees and employees accurately and on time via a highly controlled, scalable and automated process. We build and operate core technologies that enable Amazon to manage its payables business efficiently at scale, reduce time to market, and supports vendors worldwide. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
