Amazon Senior Finance Manager, Corp FP&A in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon seeks a talented and motivated Senior Finance Manager to play a critical role on the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corp FP&A) team. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving the reporting and analysis of Amazon’s Consolidated Profit and Loss (PnL). The successful candidate will lead a team in publishing scalable PnL analyses, key performance indicators, and insights to executive leaders to inform decision making. This role requires significant organizational skills, prioritization, high attention to detail, exercise of high judgement in sometimes ambiguous situations, and coordination among individuals throughout the organization to effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead Total Company PnL reporting for all Plan, Forecast and Actual reporting cycles

• Financial analyses and narratives to support SEC filings and IR activities

• Prepare financial summaries for executive leadership, including the Board of Directors

• Lead Corporate FP&A PnL process improvement initiatives

• Ad hoc analyses as needed and requested from executive leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience

  • 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience

  • 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 12+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience

  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience

  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
