Carnival Cruise Line Senior Creative Services Copy Writer in Seattle, Washington

We’re looking for an amazing Senior Copywriter, Creative Services to fill this role to fill this hybrid role, which is based in our Seattle, WA office. This is a hybrid, in-office role. You’ll work in person (in office) Tuesday to Thursday each week. You’ll be responsible for closely collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful, on-brand copy and content for Holland America Line. You solve problems with writing and have a rich understanding of the voice and tone requirements for compelling consumer and trade facing copy. Agility and flexibility are an important part of this position. Some projects will come with detailed briefs that need to fit into strict brand guidelines, while others will require you to use your expertise to translate loose ideas into compelling copy.

Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Senior Copywriter, Creative Services. Is this you?

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop persuasive and meaningful copy and concepts for product and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with design colleagues to consistently produce high-quality content. Maintain brand guidelines and update copy and product messaging for overarching brand initiatives across multiple communication channels, including consumer and trade-facing collateral, website content, sales support tools, and communications.

  • Produce/Deliver clear, creative, and insightful copy across a variety of communications from web banners to brochures that emphasizes the benefits for the reader

  • Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all content and easily incorporate revisions and suggestions from internal stakeholders, business owners, and legal & compliance reviewers

  • Lead the development of and contribute to a copywriting style guide for the organization

  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning, teamwork, and leadership through collaboration, inspiration, and relationship-building with peers and teams across the organization.

  • Act as brand steward for the Holland America Line and support the company's brand positioning while maintaining a consistent voice and style across all copy contributions

  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional copywriting experience in corporate marketing communications or a creative agency environment. Travel or related industry experience a plus.

  • 8+ years of professional copywriting experience in corporate marketing communications or a creative agency environment. Travel or related industry experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated communication skills and talent for high-caliber creative concept development and writing

  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills

  • Thorough understanding of digital culture and social media

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced in-house agency environment

  • Ability to present and explain the creative strategy behind copywriting concepts and sell high caliber creative work to business owners.

  • Strong knowledge of company products, travel industry and destinations preferred.

  • Strong demonstrated presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work with a variety of personalities under varying degrees of stress.

  • Proven ability to motivate team members to achieve desired results.

  • Demonstrated success in motivating and supporting remote team members toward common goals

  • Base Salary Range: $72,200 – 97,500. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
