Robert Half Senior Business Analyst in Seattle, Washington

Description

Robert Half is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst with an accounting acumen and a passion for financial services to work in a dynamic, fully remote role. A core aspect of the Senior Business Analyst's responsibilities includes developing and managing intricate business and technical requirements pertaining to the implementation of a new auditing software. The role allows direct engagement with accounting teams and spearheads their journey through system implementation. Presented as a Contract to Hire opportunity (an initial 6-month phase followed by role conversion based on performance and fit), this job offers the flexible advantage of remote work.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Apply an exceptional level of analytical thinking combined with comprehensive product management capabilities.

  • Be adept at interpreting customer business requirements and transforming them into coherent business and technical requisites.

  • Proficient at balancing different information sources, settling conflicts, uncovering granular details, and abstracting insights to gain a general understanding.

  • Act as the decisive link between the customer community (internal and external customers), users, business units, and technical teams. Establish a shared business and technical vision.

  • Participate actively in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and lend support to the Quality Assurance (QA) team across various testing activities.

  • Aid in training activities. Be responsible for developing user documentation and training materials and coordinating communication activities.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with 3+ years of relevant IT experience; or an Associate's degree paired with 5+ years of relevant IT experience; or a High School Diploma/GED teamed with 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

  • Profound experience in accounting - preferably in audit and/or tax.

  • Skilled in gathering requirements from executive stakeholders.

  • Expertise in managing meetings effectively, including taking notes and managing follow-ups.

  • Strong understanding and appreciation for the complexities of audit projects.

  • Excellent capability to engage with professionals across accounting, auditing, and assurance fields; and able to comprehend and convey their ideas.

  • Superior written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

  • Bonus Expertise: Familiarity with Inflo or similar platforms such as CaseWare or CCH ProSystem Fx would be advantageous.CH ProSystem Fx
