Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Scientist II in Seattle, Washington
Responsibilities The Ma Lab seeks a talented scientist to join our team. We use computational and experimental systems biology to study host and pathogen responses during tuberculosis infection and treatment. Active projects will include: (1) developing a model to predict multidrug efficacy during therapy in vivo based on pathogen transcriptional responses, and (2) screening for host-pathogen interaction effectors during ex vivo infection in primary host cells. Applicant Qualifications: Ideal candidates would have a degree or extensive experience in immunology, with specific experience in flow cytometry, culturing and performing genetic manipulations in primary human and mouse immune cells, mouse dissection, as well as experience in working with with computational biology (machine learning, image analysis) highly encouraged to apply. Requirements Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; may require a Master's Degree for certain lab specialties. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a related area/laboratory setting. Required Credentials: N/A. Preferred: Master's Degree in applicable field/research specialty highly preferred. Significant experience conducting research in area of specialization. Some experience with laboratory management. Min to Max Hourly Salary$30.37 - $45.55 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$63,169.60 - $94,744.00 /yrSalary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
