We're looking for an Activation Project Manager to be based in the Seattle area who is excited about working on projects supporting our clients’ business and business practices. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on construction projects including roads, rapid transit, bridge, as well as industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll lead the logistics, planning, development, coordination, and scheduling of all operational readiness activities associated with new or expansion of transit systems and other facility improvement projects.

You’ll be accountable for implementing a Rail Activation Plan for transition from construction to operations for new expansion and facilities covering the areas of facility maintenance, operations, communications, finance, training, and information technology. You will be expected to be able to work with clients and contractors with the knowledge of construction practices including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, and oversight of day-to-day activities.

Responsible for managing Rail Activation Program for the Project which includes but not limited to:

  • Leads logistics, planning, development, coordination, and scheduling of all operational readiness activities associated with new or expansion of transit systems and other facility improvement projects.

  • Implement Rail Activation Plan for transition from construction to operations for new expansion and facilities covering the areas of facility maintenance, operations, communications, finance, training, and information technology.

  • Works in coordination with Contractors and various Agency stakeholders to review and receive project closeout deliverables, distributes to the appropriate parties.

  • Manage responsible party rail activation checklist activities and reports status to senior representatives of key project stakeholders including the internal departments of Operations, Safety, Quality Assurance, Capital Program Delivery, Design, Engineering and Infrastructure, Customer Experience, Facilities, and outside parties including consultants, contractors, and jurisdictions to ensure all are engaged in the Rail Activation Program.

  • Manage training, scheduling, testing, safety and security certification, and service deployment responsible party Rail Activation checklist activities, and report status to senior representatives of stakeholder departments.

  • Certifies completed checklists and transmits them to the Rail Activation Committee to validate the system’s operational readiness.

  • Schedules, holds, and leads regular Rail Activation meetings.

  • Oversees records and issues meeting minutes and action items list.

  • Issues and maintains Rail Activation project schedules.

  • Oversees document control for Rail Activation documents.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education/experience

  • 5 years of progressive work experience and thorough understanding of the following:

  • System design, construction, testing and commissioning.

  • Project Engineering.

  • Rail and Transit operation.

  • Design standards and safety programs.

  • Understanding of project requirements and closeout

  • Proven experience with subsystems such as Communications, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition/SCADA, Traction power, Tunnel Ventilation, On-Board Systems, Auxiliary Electrical Systems, and Mechanical-Electrical Programs (MEP).

  • Proven Systems Engineering & Systems Integration experience

Typical salary range for this position is $121,300 - $212,200 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
