HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER'S EEG LAB , an accredited lab and an essential part of the LEVEL 4 SURGICAL EPILEPSY CENTER and EPILEPSY MONITORING UNIT , has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME PSYCHOMETRIST LEAD (Day Shifts). Under direct supervision, this position assists with instructing others in testing methods, assists in establishing uniform standards and procedures in the laboratory, and assists with writing training materials. Additionally, the Psychometrist Lead leads staff, and administers and scores standardized and specialized tests. A Psychometrist Lead has the ability to modify the testing situation more independently to assure maximum performance from the patient. The Psychometrist lead collects neuropsychological data pertinent to the interpretation of the tests by the neuropsychologist.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in the interviewing and recommendation of applicants • Conduct trainings, assign and schedule work tasks • Administer neuropsychological tests according to policies and procedures. • Instruct staff in testing techniques and may assist in the conducting of workshops in a variety of test batteries • Maintain records of clinic situations and assist with quality control and/or billing • Analyze potentially confounding variables and their effects on testing situations • Review test data to ensure conformance to requirements • Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote delivery of quality patient care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others

REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s Degree with major study in psychology or related field with emphasis in tests and measurement and one year of experience in psychological testing -OR- a Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral science and three years of the above experience -OR- one year of experience as a Psychometrist II -OR- equivalent education/experience
