Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Downtown Seattle

Job Type: Hybrid Onsite Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical project accountant to join our thriving team. The candidate will need to have an adept knowledge of project-based billing and accounts payable. The successful candidate will work closely with our project management teams to ensure our financial health and make efficient use of our resources. They should have a strong familiarity with all accounting procedures and a flair for numbers and report creation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the budgeting system, conducting financial analysis and preparing regular reports.

• Collaborating with project managers to devise project schedules and budgets.

• Regularly analyzing project budgets, moving resources to ensure financial efficiency.

• Utilizing strong knowledge of project-based billing and accounts payable.

• Processing invoice payments and tracking expenses related to projects.

• Developing project budgets and periodically reviewing them to identify inconsistencies or issues.

• Creating financial reports and utilizing Excel functionality to present detailed and summary data.

• Assisting in the implementation of financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensuring all actions are performed in compliance with company and industry regulations.

• Performing other duties as required.

  Requirements

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience in a project accountant role or similar.

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Knowledge of financial software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communicator with superlative interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

• Ability to manage workload effectively amidst multiple competing priorities.
