Amazon Program Manager, Global Site Strategy and Employee Experience, Global Communications and Community Impact in Seattle, Washington

The Operations & Technology team within Amazon’s Global Communications and Community Impact (GCCI) organization is an embedded service team designed to deliver secure, centralized technology; scalable programs and processes; and development resources and services that boost the culture, productivity, and efficiency. With hundreds of team members working in Amazon offices globally, organizing and maintaining office space and culture is a critical function of this role. You must be a creative program manager and problem solver for all facility needs across this diverse workforce.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day space planning operations of GCCI worldwide and supporting the GCCI Hubs Program, an initiative designed to build employee engagement events, initiatives, and activities globally to build community. You will work as a partner to global business leaders, finance, HR, recruiting, and other functional areas, operating at strategic and tactical levels, we well as an internal ambassador, educator, planner, and implementer of programs. You must have passion and knowledge of property and facilities management operations, and experience in building culture and community. You ideally should have experience developing, implementing, and managing a number of programs simultaneously.

You are an experienced and vibrant professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture—providing vision, leadership, and communication—but not afraid to dive into details. You also understand the importance of being approachable—fostering transparent external relationships, and balancing frugality with creativity.

Key job responsibilities

Work with Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team on weekly engagement and space for new hires.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as HR/IT/Corporate. Security/Recruiting/Operations/GREF on tracking hire rates, seating capacity & planning for future growth globally.

Coordinate and manage office moves for internal re-stacks & building moves successfully with outstanding customer service globally.

Assist in oversight with GREF on their budget pertaining to GCCI space annually.

Drive and support regency space in new locations

Manage and coordinate work with vendors including work order oversight, vendor and client follow up, validating/approving subcontractor invoices.

Be responsible for managing oversight for local office services including parking, vending machines, conference rooms, etc.

Coordinate with real estate and facilities contractors of maintenance activities to oversee projects and ensure schedules are completed on time.

Establish and maintain open, positive relationships with team and customers (Amazon employees).

Keep teams informed, educated and updated on pertinent moves, construction & implements satisfaction surveys.

Support the development, recruitment, and maintenance of the GCCI Hubs Program, which facilitates opportunities for GCCI employees to gather and build a strong sense of camaraderie and community.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 5+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: real estate and/or facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, and/or hospitality management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Keen understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, vendor management and customer service

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
