Use your social services skills as an Outreach & Community Engagement Specialist! Street Level Ministries is an outreach ministry of Seattle Social Services, William Booth Center, ARC and local corps affiliates. It is a weekly urban outreach - primarily to the homeless in downtown Seattle. The Outreach and Engagement Specialist (OES) focuses on housing outreach for individuals living in vehicles in King County. The main goal is to assist individuals in quickly securing housing by addressing immediate crises. The OES visits vehicle residents at their parking sites, collaborates with clients to identify and overcome housing barriers, and refers them to community resources such as mainstream services, benefits programs, and food assistance. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and located in Tukwila, Washington. Pay rate: $30.09/hour Duties & Responsibilities Maintain weekly client contact during housing assessments and readiness planning. Offer intensive housing assistance, including comprehensive assessments, case management, and referrals. Provide expert case management for clients facing various challenges. Support post-housing needs, including employability assessments, vocational education, and community referrals. Collaborate with agencies and participate in staff meetings and training. Maintain accurate client records, utilize social services systems, and input relevant data. Manage interns and volunteers, collaborate on newsletters, and coordinate outreach events with the Outreach and Engagement Program Manager. Education & Experience Experience in social services or customer service Demonstrate understanding in: Housing First, Coordinated Entry (CEA), Rapid Rehousing (RRH), City, County and Partner Agency Human services Strong Human relations skills; trauma-informed care; community building, and motivational interviewing Competent in HMIS entries, exits and reporting
