Liberty Healthcare Corporation Psychiatrist in SC, United States

Psychiatrists are encouraged to consider an available full-time Staff Psychiatrist position at the Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital in Anderson, South Carolina.

In this role, you will provide inpatient psychiatric care to a small caseload of adult patients, most of whom have serious and persistent mental illness. You will be supported by a robust multidisciplinary team.

High quality patient care and positive clinical outcomes will be your priorities. You will practice in an environment void of managed care influence, free of productivity quotas, and without incentives to discharge patients prematurely. You will have the freedom to spend ample time with your patients to ensure they attain improved mental health.

The Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital is a well-respected, 200-bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital which is operated by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. You're a good fit for this position if you possess the following attributes:

  • Residency training and/or Board Certification in Psychiatry

  • Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina (or wiling to apply for a SC medical license)

  • Compassion and commitment to providing high quality psychiatric care to people who are struggling with mental illness
