GLOBALFOUNDRIES PostFab organization is seeking an equipment Engineer in Dresden Germany. The individual selected for this position will work together with GLOBALFOUNDRIES maintenance technicians, system experts and other equipment-, manufacturing- and process Engineers. The employee will be responsible for a certain type of PVD/ALD tools and applications used in a leading edge semiconductor manufacturing environment. Additional projects will include the further optimization of the PVD/ALD equipment used for different technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Equipment ownership including responsibility of hardware performance for fleet of specific PVD equipment type

  • Responsibility for maintenance strategy of equipment including preventative and corrective maintenance

  • To generate and optimize maintenance work instructions and to ensure an effective maintaining of equipment with the team of shift technicians

  • Interface to supplier service team on site to ensure an effective OEM service

  • Continuous improvement of equipment reliability and OEE maximization by weakness analysis and adequate countermeasures

  • To ensure cost minimization by efficient utilization of resources including parts management/2nd sourcing and shop floor optimization

  • Start-up of new equipment until “ready for process” including hookup/facilitation, the suppliers hardware and process startup and the acceptance

  • To ensures an appropriate maintenance documentation is done in SAP und FDC is used for Equipment control

    Required Qualifications

  • Engineering/Bachelor degree or similar (e.g. “staatlich geprüfter Techniker”) including multiple year work experience in any of the following engineering fields: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Microelectronics or equivalent

  • Experience in high volume semiconductor manufacturing, minimum 3 years

  • Profound knowledge of PVD/ALD equipment is preferable but not a must

  • Familiar with maintenance methods and/or equipment engineering

  • To be able to work in cross-functional teams of equipment and process engineers and with suppliers service management

  • Capable to communicate in English language – written & verbal.

  • Comprehensive project management skills

  • Goal oriented

  • Excellent team player / assertiveness
