Job Description

Primary Function:

Execute the Strategic Quality Plan, as defined in collaboration with the Quality Control Manager, and lead continuous improvement activities in key areas of the organization. Provide quality assurance support to the MRO Repair Station. This position is responsible for executing the organization's Quality Assurance strategy to ensure consistent production of products in accordance with established industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain proficiencies in Return to Service and inspection personnel tasks, as well as manage associated quality programs (e.g., calibration, shelf-life, scrap parts, training).

• Provide Quality interface and expertise to the MRO team in Sarasota to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and met, including managing the nonconformance process and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

• Offer Quality interface, expertise, and support to the MRO team for the collection and analysis of Quality data, including preparing reports on quality performance and improvement plans.

• Implement and improve Quality Management Systems across operations, ensuring the necessary documentation is maintained. Provide expertise in Quality Control and process improvement methods to support continuous improvement.

• Participate in internal Quality System Audits, managing follow-up corrective actions.

• Contribute to product sustaining activities and address customer complaints through the warranty return process, including identifying customer expectations and conducting repair capability reviews.

• Design and implement quality assurance training programs, conducting training in quality-related topics throughout the organization.

• Assist in Material Review Board activities to manage nonconforming materials, oversee containment activities, provide timely material dispositions, and implement root cause corrective actions.

• Investigate and eliminate causes of quality problems, following up on corrective actions.

• Support the Quality Manager in hosting customer quality-related activities, such as onsite audits, visits, and production readiness assessments, including teleconference-based activities.

• Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or related work experience.

• Preferably two years minimum quality experience with a working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 Regulations, statistical methods, problem solving, international quality standards, and continuous improvement tools

• Ability to travel up to 25%

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and electronic devices and their functional characteristics to aid in effective prevention, detection, disposition and root cause analysis.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Must have excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to make independent decisions with little or no supervision.

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers and supervisors.

• Must understand, read and write proficiently in the English language to:

 Read and understand manuals and technical information

 Document safety reports for purposes of OSHA

 Professional writing skills

• Must be organized multi-tasker who manages time proactively

The work environment is an office setting on the shop floor. Noise level is moderate.
