What you will do

• Responsible to ensure that recurring local statutory Accounting and Tax requirements and obligations are being met and amended/improved as needed, monitoring and reporting of local Internal Controls deliverables through coordination of local service providers.

• Act as key liaison with the Overseas Shared Services to address accounting process issues daily.

• Coordinate with local service providers the accurate delivery of local Statutory and Fiscal requirements.

• Constant pursuit of simplification and improvement of activities that impact local Statutory and Fiscal requirements.

• Maintain monthly follow up of Stryker Internal Controls Obligations (including but not limited to SOX Narratives)

• Keep close and recurring contact with Latin America Internal Controls organization ensuring alignment of local initiatives with LatAm´s Internal Controls.

• Diagnose and identify improvement and simplification opportunities to ensure adherence of Internal Controls

• Maintain recurring/daily (or as needed) contact with CRFSSC servicing the affiliate to monitor and ensure the appropriate flow of Record to Report tasks which impact the affiliate.

• Participate in the Review of Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reviews (BSR).

• Ensure follow up of Action Plans as devised during BSR.

• Report and escalate pending issues.

• Must conduct all businesses and affairs in compliance with the laws and the regulations, including with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the Stryker Code of Conduct, in compliance with the highest ethical values.

• Control and record of all transactions shall be done in correct accounts with support documentation (when necessary).

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Chilean GAAP.

• +2 years of Experience in General Accounting in multinational companies.

• Experience with local statutory Accounting and Tax in Chile.

• Experience with Internal Controls.

• Knowledge about use of ERP and Excel.

• Analytical and interpersonal relationship skills.

• Organized, focused and result-oriented.

• Good domain on spoken and written English.
